AGRER is currently seeking a full-time Project Manager to reinforce its Environment Department.  The Department has a diversified portfolio in climate change adaptation, mitigation, climate reform mainstreaming and access to climate finance; land use and regional planning; natural resources management; environmental and social safeguards; project appraisals.

Mission : Assist / report to the Manager of the Environment Department

Main tasks

The Project Manager will have responsibilities for both business development and the execution of contracts:

  • Development of commercial activities (market analysis, identification of new project opportunities, contacts with clients and partners).
  • Preparation of Expressions of Interest and Bids: identification of experts, negotiation of collaboration agreements with partners, background analysis and research, appraisal of opportunities and definition of commercial strategies, writing of technical proposals.
  • Management of awarded contracts: technical and management support to our teams of experts; partners & clients relations; monitoring and QC of contractual delivery; quality control on services provided; supervision of projects’ administration and finance.

Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with min. 2-year experience in a consulting firm or a development agency, who wants to grow in skills, experience, and responsibilities. The person should have:

  • Advanced degree in environmental sciences/management, economics, international affairs, political sciences, or similar
  • French and English completely fluent, written and oral - other languages a plus
  • Highly organised ; Positive attitude to client and interpersonal relations and teamwork ;
  • Strong attitude to quantitative financial analysis for project management ; advanced skills in Excel
  • Willing to travel

Assets

  • Experience in climate change related domains
  • Knowledge and experience of procurement procedures of EU and other development agencies
  • Demonstrated high level technical writing skills
  • Implementation experience in developing countries

     

    Full-time position, as soon as possible – based in Brussels, with missions in developing countries

AGRER is currently seeking a full-time Recruitment Officer to support Project managers in the search for Experts.

Mission : To support the head of Support to Acquisition Dept

Main tasks / responsibilities  :

  • In work in close collaboration with Operational departments / Project managers, search for experts in the frame of our proposals or ongoing projects :
    • Search using our internal database, LinkedIn and other recruitment sites;
    • Direct contacts with national and international candidates, financial negotiations, search for professional references on candidates who never worked for the company before, …
    • Preparation of CVs in line with job descriptions; preparation of administrative documents of pre-selected candidates (diplomas, employment certificates, ….)
  • Participation in the management of the internal databases of experts (including update of individual files)
  • Administrative support to operational departments / project officers.

Essential attributes for the job  :

 Languages :

  • Very good command of French and English (written and oral) – knowledge of another language will be an asset

Mission : Assister le Chef de service Comptabilité et Finance et travailler en support aux départements opérationnels.

Responsabilités principales :

  • Appui aux départements pour gestion comptable de projets :
    • Préparation des factures aux clients, suivi échéanciers de paiement et des taux d’exécution des contrats, en étroite collaboration avec les départements opérationnels,
    • Préparation du plan comptable analytique de nouveaux contrats et suivi.  Importation des comptabilités locales des projets dans le système comptable central et vérifications (états de trésorerie locale, approvisionnements des fonds, réaffectation d’écritures,…),
    • Enregistrement des factures et suivi des comptes de tiers (clients et fournisseurs).
  • Appui au Chef de service pour des tâches de comptabilité générale :
    • Encodage des journaux d'achat, vente, salaires, opérations diverses (logiciel SAGE ou équivalent),
    • Analyse des comptes généraux et proposition corrections nécessaires (régularisation, réconciliation, justification, lettrage, opérations diverses, …),
    • Déclarations diverses auprès de l’administration.
  • Appui à la gestion de base de données comptable
    • Interface avec les fournisseurs informatiques
    • Support auprès des utilisateurs internes

Profil recherché :

  • Niveau Bachelier en comptabilité (ou formation/expérience probante équivalente)
  • 1 à 2 ans d'expérience dans le domaine
  • Maîtrise du français; pratique de l'anglais et/ou de l’espagnol est un atout
  • Maitrise de MS Excel (MS Office)
  • De bonnes connaissances en informatique et en gestion de base de données comptable sont des atouts
  • Une expérience du logiciel SAGE et de l’utilisation des plateformes ISABEL, INTERVAT, BNB STAT sont des atouts
  • Capacité à travailler en équipe, orienté client
  • Initiative, organisation, rigueur et flexibilité
  • Sens des responsabilités et autonomie.
