The overall objective of the Project is cross-border cooperation developed and strengthened for the conservation and sustainable development of natural resources and biodiversity of the Yildiz Mountains, with a more immediate purpose as follows: “To serve the long term and large scale protection of biodiversity of Yildiz Mountains (Istranca forest) on the Turkish side of the region by carrying out inventories and mapping, designing zonation, developing management plans and implementing management within the established UNESCO Man and Biosphere Reserve”.
