The Project support the Government Policy with regards to poverty reduction and improvement of living conditions for land-locked populations in the Departments concerned.
This support aims at allowing the movement of persons and goods the all year long, involving the beneficiaries in road maintenance and developing SMEs in the Buildings and Public Works sectors.
The expected outcome is a continuous traffic on the rehabilitated network (about 700 km in two phases). The Departmental Cotton Producers Associations (UDP) will insure a sustainable administrative and technical maintenance of the network. Activities during the Project: Rehabilitation of rural feeder roads, Maintenance of rehabilitated roads, Technical Assistance, Awareness raising and Training.
