Phase 1: Elaboration of the agricultural development master plan of the surrounding area of the lake within a radius of 5 km, corresponding to a surface area of around 47,000 ha to be developed.
The study of the agricultural development master plan of Lake Guiers should help define the basic conditions, without adverse effects on the environment, to promote private irrigation in this area with family farms and commercial farms aimed at developing horticultural crops, livestock farming and all other product with market remunerative prospects that would justify its development.
Phase 2:Preliminary design studies for a 5,000 ha priority area
Based on the results of phase 1, the preliminary design studies will aim at testing the development plans proposed in real scale. The preliminary design studies will focus on the consolidation of 4,000 ha in use and a 1,000 ha extension.
