PROGRAMME FOR THE REHABILITATION AND MAINTENANCE OF TRACKS IN CONGO (PREPICO II & III)

PREPICO II and III projects aim at reducing poverty of rural and urban populations by improving the capacity for agricultural production to flow towards consumption areas and ensuring the promotion of employment in the private sector.
The specific objective of PREPICO II and III is the employment-intensive rehabilitation works of a network of tracks in some production pools of East Kasai, Maniema, Katanga provinces and the Oriental Province and the maintenance of this network (including networks rehabilitated in the past in Bas-Congo and Bandundu) through the creation of a road maintenance fund that will carry out the maintenance through local structures.
The Support Project for the Rehabilitation of the Agricultural and Rural Sector (PRESAR) contains the following strands:
