PROGRAMME OF COMPETITIVENESS AND AGRICULTURAL DIVERSIFICATION (PCDA) COMPONENT 2 – IMPROVING TRADE PERFORMANCE OF AGRICULTURAL SECTORS

The PCDA (Programme of Competitiveness and Agricultural Diversification) aims to: (i) increase the contribution of rural development to the country’s economic growth, (ii) intensify and diversify agricultural production with the objective to strengthen food security and develop agricultural exports and (iii) improve incomes and living conditions of rural populations. The PCDA focuses on the increase and diversification of agricultural production, strengthening the response capacity of all stakeholders, access to credit and development of infrastructure and basic equipment.
The objective of the PCDA is the increase and diversification of income and economic opportunities in rural areas, through improvements in the organization and performance of the supply chains (from production to marketing) of agricultural sectors, livestock and commercial fisheries for which Mali has a comparative advantage confirmed.
