The global strategic objective of the study is to undertake a precise review of the situation of the marine resources sector of Yemen.
The study will serve as the basis for the subsequent formulation of a new National Fisheries Sector Development Strategy. It will furthermore provide the necessary information to the EC for the identification of critical areas on which to focus future EU technical assistance in the fisheries sector (€10.8M for the 2010 Multiannual Indicative Plan).
