The GCCA Mali Project aims to support the Republic of Mali for the development of a sustainable environment, by integrating the sustainable development principles into country policies to reverse the environmental resources loss.
The overall objective of this inventory is to contribute to a better understanding of heritage timber forest in order to develop strategies and effective planning and sustainable management tools of forest resources in Mali.
The specific objectives of this forest inventory are:

- to define a methodology for municipal forest inventory for user benefit;
- to conduct a pilot forest inventory in two municipalities for each region
