FEASIBILITY STUDY ESTABLISHING A SUGAR CANE OUTGROWER SCHEME IN SABIBO AREA

The objective of this study is to assess the viability to develop sugar cane outgrower schemes in Sabibo area of Chief Shakumbila in the vicinity of Consolidated Farming Ltd in Kafue district. The beneficiaries will be the small-holder farmers, sugar millers and processors.

The specific objectives of the study are:
1. to assess the institutional, agronomic, economic and financial viability of the establishment of the new sugar cane outgrowers scheme;
2. to propose an institutional set-up, design and costing of the outgrowers schemes.
