TECHNICAL ASSISTANT FOR THE MONITORING OF EU FUNDED PROJECTS IN THE EAST OF DR CONGO, BASED IN GOMA

Technical assistance for the monitoring and local coordination of outstanding projects, support to identify future actions, connexion  between partners on the spot (Goma) and analysis of the priorities, in the same way as the uninterrupted information of the NO and the Delegation (Kinshasa).
ECHO’s action stays essential in order to respond to urgent humanitarian needs in the East but, in the framework of the country stabilization, these actions are coupled with LRRD actions on funds B 9th EDF (30 € ongoing + 70 € in identification phase).
These LRRD actions are focused on the rehabilitation of basic social infrastructures and their access by IDPs / refugees. For example, the axe Masisi-Walikale has been rehabilitated in order to desenclave the rural area of Masisi, the opening of a connexion on Kisangani and the specific allocation attributed for the rehabilitation of Goma further to the volcanic blast of the volcano Nyiragongo in 2001
