MONITORING OF MODERNISATION WORKS OF IRRIGATION SYSTEMS IN 4 SECTIONS OF THE LOUKKOS PERIMETER

In the framework of the Support project of National Programme for Saving Irrigation Water, the project aims at modernizing irrigated agriculture in 4 sections of the R’Mel area (B1, C, E1 and E2) for a total surface around 7,785 ha in the irrigated perimeter of Loukos. The modernisation includes:
• Realisation of 4 filtration stations with their accessories
• Complete refurbishing of 4 pumping stations with variable speed control and teleprocessing
• Readjustment  of the sprinkling irrigation network of the sections concerned to make it compatible with localised irrigation;
• Renewal of irrigation hydrants with individualisation, creation of new intakes and possible remote reading, demonstration tests, training, contracts, etc.
Estimated value of works: 4,544,218 Euros. Earth moving: 48,000 m³. Concrete: 1,660 m³. Network replaced : 13,200 ml. Pumping Capacity : 7.58 m³/s.
