The Artisanal Fisheries Programme is a 5-year programme intending to develop 20 landing sites and 13 ports into micro-poles of economic development through the improvement and provision of infrastructure and equipment for fishing and processing, through training and extension of all actors of the sector and through the introduction of best practice in artisanal fisheries. It will moreover support the restructuring of the fish and fish products markets in 6 cities in order to improve the quality, sanitary conditions and to increase the added value.
